Edib Ahmetašević was born in Zagreb in 1971. He graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts, University of Zagreb, and defended his doctoral dissertation "Development of the creative industry through cultural policy and redefining the system of audiovisual activity in the Republic of Croatia" at the Culture and Media Management course at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

Since 2008, he has been working as the artistic director of the Day of Bosnian Film in Zagreb. He works as a cameraman on long and short feature films, documentaries and commercial films, and as a television cameraman.
