Awards 2022: The 14th Sarajevo Youth Film Festival has ended
The best short film in the OFF Shorts category is the Slovenian film Bits directed by Aron Horvath, while the best short film in the OFF Generation Shorts selection is the film Dance in this chaos from North Macedonia directed by Murat Zherko.
The Youth Film Festival in Sarajevo closed with the award ceremony, the organizers announced.
The award for the best young actor went to Andre Lamoglia, the protagonist of the globally popular Netflix series Elite, who said that this was his first award in his life.

The audience award in the OFF Generation Feature selection went to the Icelandic film Beautiful Beings directed by Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson.
The special guest of the Festival, the young Icelandic actor Blear Hirinksson, was awarded a special award for the best actor for his role in the film Heartstone.
After the closing ceremony, the audience enjoyed the performances of the regionally popular band S.A.R.S.
The organizers of the Youth Film Festival point out that, thanks to the support of partners and sponsors, this year's edition of the festival was the best and most visited so far. 40 films were shown and watched by more than 8,000 visitors, and a total of 200 guests were accredited.
"Our intention was to position Sarajevo in the center of cultural events in the region, to provide the audience with films that are not available in cinemas in the region, films that are mainly shown at festivals. And we succeeded in that. Until now, the film Sublime could only be seen by the audience of the 72nd edition of the Berlinale, but the Sarajevo audience is the second one in Europe that had the opportunity to see this film", said the director of the Festival, Kenan Music.
He points out that this year they also had a special OFF Talks program during which the directors and actors talked to the audience.
"Full halls of guests who asked dozens of questions to our guests say that we managed to achieve interaction. We are not a festival that only sends messages, we achieve two-way communication. The guests were interested in all the contents, but the most attended talk was Talks with Lamogia", added Music.
The festival was held under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo and Visit Sarajevo.
