Actress Mirela Balić, whos family roots are from Sarajevo, is the star of the new season of Netflix’s hit series “Elite”, which has been among the top Spanish productions on Netflix for years. After Andre Lamoglia, who was who received award on Telemach OFF in 2022, this year the Festival will host Mirela Balić, who will receive the award for the best actress in series in the 2023/2024 season. The award will be presented to her on 22.of july within the Raiffeisen Vils Open Air cinema at 9 p.m., before the screening of the film “Endless Sunday”.
Mirela appears in the seventh season of Netflix’s mega hit, a Spanish soap that has been on the list of the most watched series on this platform for years. Mirela will arrive in Sarajevo with her partner Manuel.
Mirela was born in 1998. She started her career as a professional cellist before deciding to focus on acting. Already in 2020, he will graduate from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in Madrid. Her most notable theater credits include Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Salem, Jose Padilla’s version of Arthur Miller’s Salem Witch.
In 2022, her acting career begins by working on the series Tu también lo harías for Disney +, Cristo Y Rey and Zorras for Atresmedia. During 2023, she achieved great popularity after being featured in the Netflix series Elite, playing the character of Chloe, in seasons 7 and 8.
She also appears in the films Proyecto Emperadoru, directed by Jorge Coira, and recently finished filming Mala Influencia, an adaptation of the Wattpad web novel, written and directed by Chloé Wallance.
