Two Oscars-nominated films in the 15th OFF official program

The films "EO" and "Close", from this category, were confirmed as the first two titles in the category OFF Generation Features - competitive feature films, 15th Telemach Youth Film Festival Sarajevo.

"Everything, Everywhere, All at one," a twisted sci-fi adventure, leads the nominations for the 95th Academy Awards, which will take place on March 13. In second place are Netflix's "All Quite on Western Front," a World War I epic, and "The Banshees of Inisherin," a darkly comic look at friendship set against the backdrop of the Irish Civil War, both of which scored result of nine nominations.

“Triangle of Sadness,” one of the year's most-watched and most divisive films, had a strong showing Tuesday morning, earning nominations for screenplay and direction for Ruben Östlund, the Swedish director behind this unique satire. For the director award, Ruben will "fight" against Spielberg, Todd Field ("Tár"), Martin McDonagh ("The Banshees of Inisherin") and the directorial duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert ("Everything everywhere and at once"). It is a category that is completely dominated by men. The last two best director winners, Jane Campion ("The Power of the Dog") and Chloe Zhao ("Nomadland"), were women, and there was some hope that Sarah Polley of "Women Talking" could win the award for best director.

We pay special attention to the Best Foreign Film category, which includes two titles that will be shown at this year's 15th Telemach Youth Film Festival in Sarajevo.

In the race for the award in this category are "All Quiet on the Western Front" (Germany), "Argentina, 1985" (Argentina), "Close" (Belgium), "EO" (Poland) and the film "The Quiet Girl" ( Ireland)
