The OFF Pro Film Market Sarajevo has opened submissions for development projects for its 6th edition of the Co-Production Market, set to take place from July 20-23, 2025 with 15.000,00 EUR + awards in cash and in services.

Like in previous years, the OFF Pro Film Market will run for four days during the Telemach Youth Film Festival Sarajevo and will feature a range of sessions and panels as part of the OFF Pro Talks program. Additionally, Distribution Talks and a series of activities for producers and distributors will be held as part of the Pro Hub.

Submissions are open to independent productions, producers, filmmakers, film schools, and all filmmakers from Europe or those with a majority European production (at least 51%).

OFF Pro Co-production market is seeking fiction short films (documentaries are not eligible), made using any technique and in any genre.

The OFF PRO Work in Progress Short Film Co-Production Market Selection Committee will be composed of renowned audiovisual industry professionals and coordinated by the Head of the OFF Pro Market and Head of Co-Production. The Committee will evaluate the projects based on the following criteria: a. Quality of the content
b. Coherence and adequacy of the financing strategy
c. Background and track record of the key artistic and technical team behind the project
d. International potential of the project

Eligibility Criteria

  • The submitted short film must have a maximum runtime of 25 minutes, including credits.
  • The project must be from Europe or have a majority European production.
  • The project must be presented by a production house.
  • A production company may submit up to two projects.
  • The project must have a minimum of 30% secured budget (e.g., production house, film commission, association, national funds, etc.).
  • Projects may be in the pre-production, production, or post-production phases.
  • Script development projects are not eligible.

Submission Process 

Applications must be submitted through the OFF Service Profile, with all required materials provided before the deadline.

The Market Selection Team will select up to 10 projects, and an additional 3 projects will be chosen directly as the winners from partner film markets, including the Brussels Short Film Festival, Figari International Film Festival, and the Malaga Film Festival/Short Film Corner.
